gastronomic experience at the calonge cider house

2 nights’ hotel accommodation in a double room, plus dinner or lunch for 2 in Calonge Cider House, in the village of Igeldo.

Calonge Cider House has been producing cider for over sixty years. From January until April, before the cider is bottled, it offers the traditional “al txotx” cider tasting experience (directly from the barrels).The rest of the year, cider is served bottled in the restaurant, but guests will still be invited to visit the bodega and to taste cider from one of the barrels.

The traditional cider house menu consists of “Txistorra” (spicy sausage) cooked in cider, cod omelette, fried cod and a juicy grilled “Chuleton “(1 kg T-bone steak). For dessert, local sheep’s cheese is served with walnuts and quince jelly.
